She was baptized 5 June 1867 into the Alexanderwohl Church. Her age is given as 24 on the ship passenger list in 1878, which is incorrect. The Corn church records give her baptism date as 5 May 1876, which is likely incorrect. Her Zionsbote obituary says she was born in Wolla, Poland. She had a total of 9 children, 3 sons and 6 daughters, 6 predeceased her.
