In the 1776 W. Prussia Census he is listed in Hohenwald with 1 daughter (H. Penner, p. 435). He was a member of the Thiensdorf Gemeinde. He migrated from Prussia to Russia by 1793 and settled in Kronsgarten, Chortitza, S. Russia in 1793 (P. Rempel, p. 18). In the 1797 Chortitza Colony Census he is listed in Kronsgarten (P. Rempel, p. 18). In the 1801 Census he is listed at Kronsgarten #9. In the 1816 Census his family is listed at Kronsgarten #5, but he is stated to have died in 1815 (Stumpp's book The Emigration from Germany to Russia, p. 873).
