Notes for: Cornelius Driedger

Sometime prior to 1802 exchanged his homestead in Neuenburg with that of Gerhard Wiens of Chortitza (B. H. Unruh, p. 247, 250). For some reason he wasn't able to operate the homestead because he is listed among the landless in Neuenburg in the 1801 list of people who were not homeowners. He isn't listed in the 1801 Census, but in the 1802 Census he is listed at Neuenburg #23 as lodging with Peter Reimer and his family. In the 1814 Census he is listed in Nieder Chortitza among the landless (B. H. Unruh, p. 282).
